I've discovered that what I want now in a car today is drastically different from what I wanted in a car pre-mommy. After I became a mom for the first time at 37 years young (I am a 20 year old trapped in a 41 year old body), it wasn't just about...

I grew up in a very safe and secure suburb in the Midwest. My home was as normal as one can be; we had dinner together and watched the annual airing of movies like The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music. My mom hosted extended family during Pass...

Profile Information

What kinds of things do you want to talk about?
I am a mommy blogger with profile overlap. Primetimeparenting is for the late marriage, 40+, been there, done that, now I want the baby, crowd. Our husbands work hard, and we work even harder at home rasing our 3 children, 3 and under. My other profile, sheitelsandstrollers is targeted towards the Jewish orthodox mom crowd with babies, 4 and under. We make Shabbos every week, host meals for friends and neighbors, and some crazy cleaning for Passover (only 6 weeks away, yikes). We want to eat organic kosher food, but not go for broke while doing it. Some of our families are FFB (Frum From Birth) some of our families are secular and we're the only ones to take on being kosher, keeping shabbat, and tahara mishpacha (laws of family purity) which is an entire blog on it's own. It's time to connect with other BTs and FFBs and share our failures and successes.
About Me:
In 2001, I went to Israel wearing pants, and in 2002 I came back from Israel wearing skirts and observing Shabbos and Kashrut. I moved to New York to meet my beshert, and 16 months later he showed up at my door. 6 months later we were married under a Chuppah and a mechitza for separate dancing. B'H, I am the ima to three precious neshamalas, but with my family far away, it is necessary to cultivate relationships with friends and family near me. Otherwise, the holidays would be very lonely.

Kosherfest Chesed Goes Beyond As They Donate 15,000 Lbs. of Food to Jewish Poor

This is a story that I read in a newsletter from KosherToday, http://www.koshertoday.com/news.asp#story108. I attended Kosherfest both Tuesday and Wednesday last week at the amount of food at the Meadowlands Expo Center was tremendous. After the show, the first place the food was headed was not in the garbage, but to feed the Jewish Poor. Here is more on this story of Chesed.
